David Bailey announces running for Constable Precinct 2

Today I proudly announce that I am running for Constable Precinct 2. I am married and have 5 grandchildren. I am also a proud Little Cypress Mauriceville graduate.

Currently I serve as District 1 Orange City Councilman. While I have very much enjoyed serving the citizens of Orange, Law Enforcement is where my heart has always been. Serving as a public official is a calling not a job. You have to have the passion and desire to serve because with all the good you get there are also things that are not. I have served in every position in law enforcement; from a corrections officer to a patrol deputy to a criminal investigator. I have held positions of supervision from sergeant to chief deputy. I hold a current peace officers license, an advanced peace officer license and an advanced corrections officer license.

If elected I intend to be very involved in the Mauriceville schools at every level. I will immediately open and utilize the office in Mauriceville and be actively involved in all aspects of the community.

I look forward to meeting as many of you as I can as this campaign gets going. I will be having several "meet and greet" events in the very near future. Should you want to speak to me, feel free to call me at 409-656-9865. Again I Iook forward to meeting everyone I can as the campaign season gets started.

Thank you for your time and your support.
