Jane Dupree, 72, of Orange, Texas, passed away on October 30, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend David Turner.
Graveside service will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 3, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Born in Abilene, Texas on October 10, 1951, she was the daughter of Needham Oden “Buddy” Peace, Jr. and Bronnis Joy (Jacobs) Faircloth. Jane worked at Claybar Funeral Home as Administrative Assistant for over eleven years.
She was a long-time member of Little Cypress Baptist Church. Jane was very organized and detailed in everything she attempted. She was also amazingly artistic and creative, as reflected by her scrapbooking creations and the elaborate personalized greeting cards that brought joy to every recipient.
She enjoyed sewing her children’s clothes and costumes, as well as window treatments. Jane loved to cook her signature dishes for her family, including chicken and dumplings, pot roast, and gumbo. She loved her family immensely and made sure they knew it, and they loved her just as much.
Jane had an amazing soul and cherished everyone around her. She will be deeply missed by all those who loved her.
She is preceded in death by parents, Bronnis Joy and Lee Scott Faircloth; father, Needham Oden Peace, Jr.; and infant daughter, Patricia Lee Hewitt.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Dupree; daughters, Karyn and husband, Phillip Jolly, Joy and husband, Mark Peace, and Michelle and husband, Ed Tafoya; grandchildren, Mackenzie Wilkes and husband, Kevin Wilkes, Madyson and Alyssa Jolly, Corban Tafoya, and Rachael and Mathew Peace; great-grandchild, Payton Wilkes; sister, Liz Bergman and husband Drew; nieces and nephews; and many other loving family and friends.
