Harold D. King, 89, Orange

H.D. King, 89, of Orange, Texas, passed away on November 2, 2023, peacefully at home.

Born in Dawson, Oklahoma, on October 3, 1934, he was the son of Aubrey King and Mary Alice (Markham) King. 

H.D King (Harold) spent much of his life in Southern California in various sales positions. He found his way to Southeast Texas in the early 1990’s. While in Southeast Texas he sold new and used vehicles in Orange as well as in Port Arthur. H.D. Enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and found holidays a special time for family gatherings and festivities. During the holidays, he enjoyed giving of his time by volunteering to deliver turkeys to the needy and toys to children. 

He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Aubrey and Mary Alice King of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and his brother, Melvin King of Orange.

He is survived by his sister-in-law Jan King: sons, Michael King, Randy King, and Billy King; 

6 grand children and 10 great grandchildren. Nieces and nephews, Larry King and wife Patti, Ron King, Stephanie Pfister and husband Bill; great nieces and nephews, Alan King, Bridgette King, Brad King, Anthony Mazzola (A.J.), and Nicholas Pfister. Along with four great nieces and nephews. 

A memorial service will be held at One City Church in Beaumont on November 20th. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am in the chapel with services starting around 11:30.

Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
