Gary James Chauvin, 58, Orange

Gary James Chauvin, 58, of Orange, Texas, passed away on November 18, 2023, in Beaumont, Texas.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Harland Strother.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Franklin, Louisiana, on August 17, 1965, he was the son of Raymond Thibodeaux and Judy Chauvin. He was later adopted by Jess Chauvin and Laura Derouen Chauvin. Gary was a loving father, grandfather, and brother. His family and his friends were precious to him and he loved spending time with them every chance he got. In his spare time, he could be found enjoying his favorite hobby, building model planes and ships. Gary will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Thibodeaux and Judy Chauvin, and Jess and Laura Derouen Chauvin; his sons, Tony Chauvin and Gary Chauvin; his loving wife, Brenda Chauvin; his brother, Shane Thibodeaux; his sister, Wendy Chauvin; and four grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughters, Chrissy Chauvin and husband, Alvin Perro of Lafayette Louisiana, Allana Chauvin and husband, Christian Holmes of Shreveport Louisiana, Becky Bailey and husband, Casey Bailey of Orange, Texas, Christina Hines and husband, Benjamin of Broussard, Louisiana, and Crystal Romero and husband, Calvin of Abbeyville, Louisiana; his son, Steven Hazel and wife, Crystal of Church Point, Louisiana; his grandchildren, Casey Bailey, Jr., Almyriah Jackson, James Bailey, Dwayne Lee, Jr., Deshawn, Dewaune, Devon, Jaythan, Queen-Arya, Sebastian, Brynlee, and Jade; and his siblings, Mark Thibodeaux, Raymond Tibodeaux, Jr., Kevin Thibodeaux, Alton Thibodeaux, Joseph Thibodeaux, Troy Thibodeaux, and Theresa Chauvin; and three great-grandchildren.

Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
