Hometown News For Orange County, Texas
The Mauriceville Heritage Association is once again hosting holiday activities in North Orange County, including the traditional Senior Citizens Christmas Dinner.
The activities will begin Thursday, November 30, with the Christmas tree lighting ceremony plus a vendors market. The event will be from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Mauriceville Community Center, 7441 Cohenour Road off Highway 62 North.
Besides the tree lighting, there will be live music, vendors with a variety of items for gifts and decorating. There will also be visits with Santa, letters to Santa, plus hot chocolate and cookies.
The Mauriceville Heritage Association for decades has been providing senior citizens in the community a Christmas dinner gathering that includes a lot of fellowship and stories about the past. The traditional holiday dinner with all the trimmings and desserts will be Saturday, December 2, at 5 p.m. at the Mauriceville Elementary cafeteria.
Santa will be there handing out gifts. Plus there will be a backdrop setting perfect for holiday selfies.
