Curtis Leo "Shorty" Fowler, 73, Orange

Curtis “Shorty” Fowler, 73, of Orange, Texas, passed away on December 2, 2023, at his home in Orange. With his wife by his side!!

 Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Pastor Keith Pennington. 

 Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m., Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

 Born in Hardin, Texas, on November 15, 1950, he was the son of Raymond Fowler and Lorene Walters Fowler. Curtis loved music and could often be found playing his guitar and singing. Gospel music was his favorite. He also enjoyed watching movies, especially old westerns. Curtis adored his dog, Poodoo. He also loved food, his favorite being fried pork chops. Curtis was a big jokester and loved to make others laugh. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

 He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Lorene Fowler; and his brother, Gary Lee Fowler.

 He is survived by his wife, Melissa Fowler; his children, Paula Fowler of Kirbyville, Texas, Stacey Parish of Buna, Texas, and Tracy Parish of Amarillo, Texas; his grandchild, Richard Bishop of Kountze, Texas; and his brothers, Raymond Fowler of Silsbee, Texas, and Robert Lee Fowler and wife, Brenda of Saratoga, Texas. 

 Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Granger and Doug Anderson.

 Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
