Eldon Ray Smith, 62, Orange

Eldon Ray Smith, 62, of Orange, Texas, passed away on November 22, 2023, at his home in Orange. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, December 4, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Born in Orange, California, on December 13, 1960, he was the son of Eldon Ezekial Smith and Belva Lois Quebodeaux Smith. Eldon was employed with Bilfinger for many years as a painter/blaster. He was also a previous member of The Orange Junior Chamber of Commerce. In his spare time, Eldon had many hobbies that he could be found enjoying. He loved to go fishing and to barbeque delicious food for his family and friends. He also loved to sing karaoke, especially country music. Eldon was a man that could always be counted on to help others. He loved his family and friends dearly and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Eldon and Belva Smith; and his brother, Ross Richard Smith. He is survived by his wife, Heather Smith; his brothers, Keith Smith and wife, Rebecca Taylor, and Curtis Smith; his nieces and nephews, Landon Smith, Lauren Smith, Jeremy Smith, and Jessica Smith; and numerous other loving family members and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Keith Smith, Curtis Smith, Jeremy Smith, Kevin Quebodeaux, Darrell Quebodeaux, and Barry Wilkerson.
