Billy G. Henagan, 89, of Orange, Texas, passed away on December 7, 2023, in Beaumont, Texas. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at United Pentecostal Church in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Murry Ray. Burial will follow at Autumn Oaks Cemetery in Orange, Texas. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at United Pentecostal Church in Bridge City. Born in DeQuincy, Louisiana, on April 29, 1934, he was the son of John Henagan and Beulah Clark Henagan. Billy was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He worked as a structural steel rigger with Texaco for 41 years, where he was a highly recognized employee. Billy was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Bridge City for 50 years, even helping to build the church itself as well as homes in the community. He was also a partner in the land development in Tanglewood. Billy was a very hard-working man who always stayed busy. When he wasn’t putting his carpentry skills to use around the community, he was using his gardening skills to raise satsuma trees in his large and beautiful garden. In his down time, Billy enjoyed spending time at his camp and fishing. He was an amazing husband, father, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Beulah Henagan; his son, Jonathan Henagan; and his siblings, Bobby Henagan and Rosie Henagan. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Kathaleen Henagan; his son, Kent Henagan of Orangefield; his grandchildren, Devin Henagan and wife, Estefairi, and Erin Holt and husband, Jordan; his great-grandchildren, Ema Henagan, Graham Holt, and Sterling Holt; his sisters, Johnnie Ruth Henagan, and Lynda Bruns and husband, Charles; his sisters-in-law, Crystal and Lynn Meredith; and numerous other nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Eric Smith, Chad Smith, Dennis O’Neal, Cameron Meredith, Don Holston, and Eugene Kessell. Honorary pallbearers are Harry Joe Wolfe, Russel Young, Lynn Meredith, and Stanley Boullion.
