Harris Don Willey, 81, Mauriceville

Harris Don Willey, 81, of Mauriceville, Texas, passed away on December 4, 2023, at Mid Jefferson Extended Care in Nederland, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 9, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Mauriceville in Mauriceville, Texas. Officiating will be Revered Kevin Brown. Burial will follow at Eaves Cemetery in Buna, Texas. Visitation will begin prior to the service at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, December 9, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Mauriceville. Born in Beaumont, Texas, on March 7, 1942, he was the son of Harris Emery Willey and Delia (Eaves) Willey. Don worked at EXXON Mobile for many years. He was honorable and a true cowboy. Harris loved riding horses and working with cattle. His horse Rosie was his absolute favorite, and he took her riding as often as he could. When Don went out, he enjoyed trying new restaurants. Family was everything to Don and he made sure they knew how much he loved them. He had a genuine heart and soul and will be deeply missed. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harris and Delia Willey. He is survived by his loving wife, Liz Willey; daughter, Nikki Robin; son, Shawn Willey; grandson, Zachary Robin; as well as other loving family and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Dusty Eaves, Dorman Eaves, A.J. Flowers, Ron Woods, Jimmy Duke, and Zachary Robin. Honorary pallbearers are Marshall Willey, Kenneth Adams, and Isaac Duke.
