Phillip Charles “Fuzz” Stoy, 84, of Orange, Texas, passed away on December 7, 2023, peacefully at home. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 11, 2023, at Bridge Point Fellowship in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Lance Faulkner. Born in Wann, Oklahoma, on June 19, 1939, he was the son of Fred Stoy, Sr. and Orpha (Sumner) Stoy. Phil attended Bridge Point Fellowship with his wife, Betty. He loved watching football and western movies, especially John Wayne westerns. Phil enjoyed spending time with his family and loved them very much. He had a wonderful and kind soul and will be deeply missed. He is preceded in death by his parents, Orpha and Fred Stoy, Sr .; his first wife, Nancy Jean (Mouton) Stoy; son, Lloyd Stoy and wife Donna Stoy; brothers, Fred “Buster” Stoy Jr., Tommy Joe Stoy, Bill Stoy, Charles Stoy, Dale Stoy, and Jackie Lee Stoy; sister, Phyllis Wright; stepson, Roy Collins; and step grandson, Darren Jenkins. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Betty (Folks) Stoy; son, Joe Stoy and wife Vicki; daughter, Melissa Dungan and husband Dustin; grandchildren, Tiffany Stoy, Collin Dungan, and Savannah Dungan; brothers, Paul Stoy and wife Cathy and Kenny Stoy; nieces, Joyce and Michelle. His bonus family, stepchildren, Brenda Lyons and Robert Collins; step grandchildren, Roy Boy Collins, Robby Collins, Alyssa Fontenot, and Morgan Bonnin, and numerous step great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to American Cancer Society at https://donate.cancer.org/. Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
