Linda Lee Currie, 82, of Orange, Texas, passed away on December 27, 2023, at her home surrounded by loved ones. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Little Cypress Baptist Church in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend David Turner.
Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Orange, Texas, on April 3, 1941, she was the daughter of Herbert Vestor Teal and Bessie (Barksdale) Teal.
Linda loved the Lord and was a longtime dedicated member of Little Cypress Baptist Church. Linda was a lifelong resident of Orange and graduated from Little Cypress Highschool. She enjoyed watching Westerns and working outside in her flower beds. Linda was a wonderful mother and grandmother and adored spending time with her family every chance she got. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Bessie Teal; her husband of 42 years, Gary "Wayne" Currie; granddaughter, Abby Case; and her siblings, Bessie Dickson and Percy Teal.
Those left to cherish Linda's memory include her children, Jeff Morris and wife Karin, Laura Chapman and husband James, Robert Currie and wife Mindy, Lanette Anderson and husband George, and Stacey Case; grandchildren, Heidi Thomas, Tyler Chapman, Chase Chapman, Valarie Morris, Joshua Morris, Caleb Anderson, Cameron Anderson, Keegan Anderson, Autumn Case, Walker Case, Parker Case, Wayne Currie, Peyton McKee, and Paige McKee; 16 great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Delores Rutledge and husband Calvin, and Alice "Doll" Powell; along with numerous other loving family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Tyler Chapman, Chase Chapman, Caleb Anderson, Cameron Anderson, Keegan Anderson, Josh Morris, Parker Case, Walker Case, Peyton McKee, and Wayne Currie.
