Stephen Arthur Bogoyas, 64 years of age, passed away peacefully after a sudden illness on January 9, 2024 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas with his loving family by his side.
Visitation will be held at 12:00 pm with the funeral service directly following at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 14th at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas.
Directly after the funeral, the interment will be held at Trout Creek Cemetery located in Newton County.
Stephen was born in Orange, Texas on December 22, 1959 to Andy and Lynette Bogoyas. Stephen was interested in fishing and shooting sports. He graduated from West Orange Stark High School in 1978. Stephen attended the University of Texas At Austin where he met the love of his life, Julie. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising in 1983. He married Julie Lynn Fedt, in Houston, in 1984.
Stephen had a very successful career in advertising, where he worked for over 35 years. He was always willing to help any friend or coworker, especially with their cars or air conditioners. He was a devoted son and took tremendous care of his parents as they aged. Stephen was a tremendously caring father and had endless love and pride for them. Stephen enjoyed traveling with his wife, in the US and abroad, his favorite trips were to Greece and Italy. He was a dedicated father and son; he enjoyed educating and mentoring others. Stephen had a soft spot for animals and enjoyed feeding stray cats, raccoons and birds. He loved his dogs unconditionally and spoiled them often.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andy and Lynette Bogoyas.
Stephen is survived by his loving wife, Julie Bogoyas; his son and daughter in-law, Matthew Bogoyas and Amanda Bogoyas; his daughter and her partner, Michelle Bogoyas and Jake Jankovsky; his dog Harkin; and many relatives, cousins, and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be David Bean, Jeff Bean, Drew Domas, Evin Dugas, Keith Hood, and Ron Sigler.
