Michele Moore, 83 Orange

Michele Moore, 83 of Orange, TX passed away peacefully on the morning of January 28, 2024. An informal visitation will be held for Michele from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Claybar Funeral home in Orange on the afternoon of Friday February 2, 2024. Her cremains will be laid to rest at Nibletts Bluff Cemetery at a later date. She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was born to Jim and Mollie Selman of Orange on 02/12/40. Throughout her school years she was an avid dancer and piano player. She was also a member of the Bow Club, a very close group of friends who shared many adventures and went on regular “girls” trips in their adult years. She was a hard-working entrepreneur and opened her own hair salon in the late 1960s. Michele also instilled the importance of self-reliance and good work ethics in her family as well. Later in life she also became a real-estate agent and loved to golf. She also had a soft spot for animals, and always had a dog or two in the home. She is preceded in death by her husband Milton Joe Moore, her parents, and her brother Carl Dean Selman. Michele is survived by her son, James Stringer Jr,; two grandchildren, Katrina Stringer and husband Chuck King, and Jeremy Stringer; one great-grandchild, Bodhi King; and her brother, Ted Selman. Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
