Chelsie Dawn Murty, 46, Bridge City

Chelsie Dawn Murty, 46, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on February 16, 2024, at her home in Bridge City. A memorial service will be held 6:00 p.m., Friday, February 23, 2024, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday, February 23, 2024, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Born in Fort Worth, Texas, on November 15, 1977, she was the daughter of Jerry Tanner and Michelle Weir Mutch. She had a passion for cooking and loved preparing delicious meals for family and friends. She enjoyed reading and could often be found curled up with a good book. Chelsie was a softball fan and had been playing since she was eight years old and even played softball for her high school team. She loved spending time with her dog, Baylie, and her family. Chelsie also enjoyed embarking on road trips and cherished moments swimming and tubing on the river. She was a proud graduate of Marcus High School in Flower Mound, Texas from the class of 1996. Chelsie will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her father, Jerry Paul Tanner.

She is survived by her husband of twenty-four years, Joseph Murty of Bridge City; parents, Michelle Mutch and husband, Terry, of Bridge City; her daughters, Macie Oats and husband, Jacob, of LaBelle, Texas, and Lexie Murty of San Marcos, Texas; her son, Joseph Murty of Bridge City, Texas; her siblings, Brandy Farris and husband, John, of Springtown, Texas, and Cody Tanner of Krum, Texas; her beloved English Bulldog, Baylie; and numerous other loving family members and friends. Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
