Bridge City High theater sets public showing

The public will get a chance to see the Bridge City High theater students perform their one-act play this week at the school cafeteria.

Times will be 6 p.m. Friday, March 15, plus 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 16. Doors will open 30 minutes before each show. Admission is $5 and concessions will be available.

The students performed the play recently at the UIL district One Act Play competition. Though they were not ranked to move ahead to bi-district, a number of the Bridge City students earned special UIL all-star honors.

The crew won the all-star award with students Jackson Pachar, Tucker Flatt, Makaylee Dugan, Aliya Ney, Adalyn Jones, and Aslynn Yawn. Pachar was also named as outstanding technician.

Austin Hathaway and Sami Heathcoe were named to the all-star cast and Hannah Edward earned honorable mention for all-star cast.
