Sherri Renee Jones, 63, Orange

Sherri Renee Jones, 63, of Orange, Texas, passed away on March 18, 2024, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.

Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m., Friday, March 22, 2024, at Sycamore Cemetery in Burkeville, Texas.

Officiating will be Jerry Godeaux. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Born in Groves, Texas, on March 24, 1960, she was the daughter of William H. Owens and Vivian Lois Freeland Richard.

Sherri was known for her green thumb and could often be found tending to her garden with great care and dedication. Her favorite holiday was Halloween, where she would spare no effort in decorating her home and creating a spooky atmosphere for all to enjoy.

Not only was Sherri an excellent cook, but she also took great pleasure in preparing meals for her family and friends. Her delicious meals brought people together and created lasting memories around the dining table. Above all else, Sherri's greatest passion was taking care of those around her. She selflessly dedicated herself to looking after others, always putting their needs above her own. In addition to her caregiving spirit, Sherri possessed talents that brought entertainment and joy to those around her. She excelled at playing pool, showcasing her skill and precision with every shot.

Furthermore, she was known for her marksmanship with a .22, impressing friends and family alike with her accuracy.

She is preceded in death by her father, William H. Owens; her sister, Holly Romine; and her husband, Michael Wayne Jones.

She is survived by her Fiance’, Ronnie Godeaux; her mother, Vivian Freeland Richard; her sons, Justin Jones and wife, Denise, and Kerry Jones; her grandchildren, Maia Fisher, Vlad Zaic, Matthew Dane Jones, and Liam Michael Jones; her siblings, Donna Carrier, Judy Arnold and husband, Gary, J.R. Richard and wife, Anja, and Lisa McKeivier and husband, Steve; and many other loving family members and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Jones and Kerry Jones.
