Charlotte Camille Raybon, 86, Orange

Charlotte Camille Raybon, 86, of Orange, Texas, passed away on April 15. 2024, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 22, 2024, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Deacon Melvin Payne. Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Orange. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday, April 22, 2024, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange with a rosary at 1:30 p.m. Born in Beaumont, Texas, on December 25, 1937, she was the daughter of Nick LaRocca, Sr. and Lottie Southerland LaRocca. Charlotte led a rich and fulfilling life, marked by her dedication to various interests and activities. She was a longtime member of St. Francis, where she found solace in faith and community. Additionally, Charlotte was a proud member of the LaDonna Club, where she shared countless memorable moments with friends old and new. Her involvement in the St. Joseph Altars exemplified her commitment to tradition and service. Known for her vibrant spirit and sense of adventure, Charlotte enjoyed testing her luck on the slot machines—a passion that brought her excitement and entertainment. She found true fulfillment in lending a helping hand at her best friend, Rose Tarver, floral shop, spreading beauty and joy through her creative touch. Charlotte will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Nick and Lottie LaRocca; her brothers, V.T. LaRocca, and Nick LaRocca, Jr.

She is survived by loving husband of 63 years, Kenneth Raybon; her daughters, Karen Raybon O’Hern and husband, David of Gadsden, Alabama, and Pamela Bailey and husband, Curtis of Jasper, Texas; her grandchildren, Brittany Nicole Wallace, Christopher Scott Wallace, Kyle Bailey and wife, Jami, and Katie Bailey; 8 great- grandchildren, her brother, Sam LaRocca and wife, Mary Lou; her sister, Mary King and husband, John; her sisters-in-law, Beverly LaRocca, and Betty Favors and her sons David Simon and wife, Joyce, and Steve Simon and wife, Sandy; and numerous other loving family members and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Curtis Bailey, Kyle Bailey, C.J. LeBlanc, Steve Freeman, David Simon, and Steve Simon. Honorary pallbearers are Jeff Hughes, and David Wilson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to your favorite charity.
