Daniel “Dan” Albert Hock, 70, of Orange, Texas, passed away on May 3, 2024, at home.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 10, 2024, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Born in Greenville, Mississippi, on April 11, 1954, he was the son of Buddy Hock and Connie Hock.
Dan was a man of many passions and traits that endeared him to those around him. His love for westerns and animals was evident to all who knew him, as was deep commitment to his family. His dreamer spirit often led him to imagine himself in a different era, believing he should have been born in the days of cowboys. His kind heart and unwavering loyalty to his loved ones defined him a family man through and through.
Dan's willingness to go above and beyond for those he cared about left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him. May Dan Hock's adventurous spirit and loving nature live on in the hearts of those who were touched by his presence. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the light he brought into the lives of others.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Buddy and Connie Hock; brother, Gary Lee Hock; and sister, Sherrie Marie Curl.
He is survived by his daughter, Danielle Lee; granddaughter, Arianna Lee; mother of daughter (Danielle), Monica LeDeaux; sister, Vicky Hufstetler; uncle, Clyde Welch; nieces, Amy Perez (Corbin, Tyler, and Maddie), Alicia and husband, Keyton Porras (Sloan), and Dana and husband, Seth Franke (Adley and Ellie).
Cremation will be held under the direction of Simple Tributes in Orange.
