Lance Lee Honeycutt III, 55, Bridge City

Lance Lee Honeycutt III, 55 of Bridge City, Texas passed away peacefully June 2, 2024 at home. 

A small private family viewing was held June 7, 2024 at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas. 

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, June 13 at 11am at the KC Hall in Bridge City, Texas. 

Born in Galveston, Texas on January 16, 1969. He was the son of Lance Lee Honeycutt Jr and Colleen Vivien Gill(Buckley).

Lance is a beloved son(a momma’s boy), brother, husband, father, grandfather, friend, and known to many as Coach Lance. He left behind a legacy filled with laughter, hard work, and a great love for his family and friends. Lance was known as a Jack of all Trades and Master of none as he spent his years as a machinist, tree climber, welder, fitter, boilermaker, and home remodeling. He was a problem solver with the famous saying “I’ve forgotten more than you’ll ever know!”  He was a loyal supporter of the Dallas Cowboys! He will be remembered for his infectious, one of a kind laugh and his ability to make parody’s of any music genre! He found joy in his moments with his family and friends; always ready to throw something on the grill or build a fire. Vacations, beach trips, and camping trips were some of his favorite moments. He also found great pride and joy in being Pawpaw! 

He is preceded in death by his father Lance Lee Honeycutt Jr. of Lufkin, Texas. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of nearly 30 years, Dakota Honeycutt of Orange, Texas. His daughter Meagan Greene, and wife Lindley Greene of Vidor, Texas; his son Jeffery Honeycutt, and wife Peyton Honeycutt of Baytown, Texas, his son Zachary Honeycutt of Beaumont ,Texas; his son Caleb Honeycutt of Orange, Texas; his daughter Gabrielle Honeycutt and boyfriend Jaydon Shiver of Beaumont, Texas. His bonus son, Trent Heard of Dickinson, Texas. His grandchildren that he adored, Elijah Self, Malachi Self, Layla Honeycutt, Cohen Honeycutt and Elijah Walker. His loving mother Colleen Gill Buckley.  Sisters, Vicki Aven, Ruby Kay Mahon, and Tammy Nobles. Along with numerous other loving family members and friends.
