Chuck Russell, 77, Hemphill

Chuck Russell, 77, of Hemphill, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by loved ones on June 24, 2024.

Born in Orange County, Texas, on February 12, 1947. Chuck's career as a welder was not just a profession but a passion that defined him. He will be remembered as someone who was a character - always bringing laughter and joy to those around him. His love for fishing and travel brought brightness to his life and inspired those who knew him. Among his proudest accomplishments was being a cherished member of Fairmount Baptist Church, where he found solace and community. Chuck's legacy will live on through the memories shared by those who were fortunate enough to have known him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lee Roy and Earline Russell, life long residents of Orangefield; his wife, Connie Stewart Russell; and his sister, Carol Lee Russell Smith.

Chuck's memory will be honored with Graveside services at 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange, TX.
