Youth to show livestock Saturday at T2 Arena

The Orange County Livestock Show Association is sponsoring the Showdown on the Sabine show for youth and their animals on Saturday, August 17, at the T2 Arena, 3810 Old Peveto Road.

Check-in time is 4 p.m. and show time is 7 p.m. The entry fee is $30 and $10 for the showmanship category. Youth will compete according to four different age groups. The senior division is for those 15 to 18 years of age; intermediate division for ages 12 through 14; junior division is for ages 9 through 11,and peewee division for ages 8 and younger. No out of state livestock is allowed.

Thirty-five prize buckles will be awarded during the show with each age group eligible for buckles. In addition, 52 prize banners will be awarded during the competition.

A concession stand will be open during the event, plus raffle tickets will be sold to win a goodie box with items valued at more than $500.
